Overview
An established Reseda community gym for decades with a loyal neighborhood membership, the Mega Center property provided upscale amenities, state-of-the art equipment for a much needed improved facility. On a fast track schedule, we were engaged to refresh and and inject the USA Fitness design brand into the established facility.
Challenges
To determine the scaffolding priorities, comply with the minimum budget, and upgrade the tired color & material palette to reflect the new USA Fitness brand color scheme, the hurdle to be jump was to establish what areas could remain as is, and what area required a full remodel.
Strategy
After reviewing the USA Fitness brand design palette, we developed the tiered list prioritizing the primary, secondary and tertiary zones that required renovation. We then conceptualized cost efficient solutions and sourced value engineered materials, ceiling treatments and lighting. To document details and specifications, we prepared quick-sketch plans and elevations that could be issued directly to the contractors.
Results
The combination of a warm and cool color palette, black granite and charcoal porcelain tiles along with wood flooring, high luster wallcovering, and LED linear and square panel high-bay lighting gives the space a hybrid aesthetic blending previous design elements with the new USA Fitness brand.
